Purpose: Evaluation of occurance of cystoid macular edema (CME) in the late postoperative term with using fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA).

Materials and Methods: 12 eyes of 7 patients who had limbal approach phacoaspiration, posterior capsulotomy, anterior vitrectomy and intraocular lens application in our clinic previously were eveluated retrospectively. In the control examinations mean 10 months postoperatively, full ophthalmic examinations were performed and they were evaluated for occurance of CME by either fundus fluorescein angiography or oral fluorescein angioscopy under blue light with indirect ophthalmoscope and +20D lens.

Results: CME was not detected in any of the eyes by fundus floresein angiography or oral fundus fluorescein angioscopy.

Conclusion:To conclude absolute results in pediatric cataract cases with CME is needed wider series with longer follow up. Keywords : Congenital cataract, cystoid macular edema
