Efficacy of Prostaglandin Analogs

Materials and Methods: 30 eyes of 15 patients using Latanoprost, 28 eyes of 14 patients using Travoprost and 20 eyes of 10 patients using Bimatoprost with diagnosis of glaucoma or ocular hypertension are included in this study. The control examinations and intraocular pressure measurements are done at the 1st, 3rd and 6th months of treatment.
Results: 56.4%of patients included in the study was female and 43.6%was male. The mean age of the patiens was 54.08 years. No difference was found between the groups in the intraocular lowering efficacy.
Conclusions: According to this study, all 3 prostaglandin analog therapies were found to have similar efficacy. Keywords : Bimatoprost, glaucoma, Latanoprost, prostaglandin analogs, Travoprost
